Condolence Messages

#1 Bill and Peggy Burzynski 2012-06-29 10:20 We will miss Uncle George and his sea stories, goat stories, and his hot pink convertible GEO metro. George was one of kind and we are deeply saddened as another chapter is written in the Morris Family history book.

Our thoughts and prayers,
Bill & Peggy Burzynski

#2 Randy and Wendy Wright 2012-06-29 15:20 We will greatly miss Uncle George. Always loved to hear his stories of his ideas of "light rail" and how the Edmund Fitzgerald really sank. We always loved to visit with him and he always had a story to tell. He was a very intelligent man and definitely a great man and will be missed.

Our love and prayers to my cousins,
Randy Wright

#3 John S. Morris, Jr. 2012-06-30 14:34 Uncle George will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. He was a gentle voice that was full of wit, wisdom and good old common sense. I learned very early in my life that he was someone you had better listen to. He was always there ready to explain, expand or just plain listen. And always with a position! You may not have liked his analysis of the situation, but you sure as heck didn’t have to read between the lines. Uncle George told it like it was - right, wrong, black, white, liberal or conservative - all got the same measured and informed direction.
Charlotte and I just returned to Nashville this week when we heard of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and the family. Due to pending medical procedures down here, we will not be able to attend any of the services but rest assured he will be on our minds as we look for a suitable replacement for his wisdom. I doubt if we will find it.

#5 Mary Elizabeth Morris 2012-07-03 01:55 I think the word great describes my uncle so very well. He will take allot of good deeds with him to heaven. Many people will remember his so very intelligent and wise conversations, not to mention his commentaries in the editorial pages. He was a concerned citizen, a caring man who always brought a smile to my face and most indubily made me think. Quote

#7 Maureen Monhollen Soules 2012-07-03 02:24 Janet, I was so sorry to hear of you dad's passing. Having just lost mom, I have been thinking a lot of past memories, and everytime I drive by our old stomping grounds, I think of you and what fun we had as kids on Albain Road!

Do give your mom a big hug from me. I remember her so fondly. Your dad was a great guy, and I know he will be missed by many.

#10 Marjorie Monhollen 2012-08-06 19:12 Dottie, Tim, Doug, Pat, Becky and Janet,
Please accept my deepest sympathies at the passing of your husband and father. I have great memories of George from the old days back on Albain Rd. and how he was never afraid to fight for the township and our little piece of it. I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to come and express my feelings in person - things have been rather chaotic since losing Mom in April. Know that your old neighbor and friend is sending you her love and peace during this most difficult time.
